Tyler Stableford is a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate and life coach specializing in depression and anxiety, addiction, treatment-resistant conditions, and trauma resolution for adults, adolescents, couples and families. Tyler holds a certificate in the trauma-focused Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) and has completed Level 2 trainings in the groundbreaking Internal Family Systems therapy. Additionally, Tyler has completed level 2 trainings in psychedelic assisted psychotherapy with the Psychedelic Research and Training Institute for both individual and group facilitation.
Tyler brings a wealth of life experience to his role as a therapist, from directing international teams with Fortune Global 500 executives to mentoring children in the foster care system. He has also completed two executive coaching trainings with the Conscious Leadership Group.
Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in English and Environmental Studies from Dartmouth and graduated summa cum laude with a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Texas Tech’s Midwestern State University. Tyler is deeply committed to social justice and improving access to mental health care. He works in community mental health with high-needs adolescents at Stepping Stones of the Roaring Fork Valley; he serves youth offenders as a therapist at YouthZone; and he sees clients in private practice at his office in downtown Carbondale and via telehealth.
Tyler is also an Emmy Award-winning director, filmmaker and photographer working around the world with clients including Apple, Ford, Patagonia, Canon, The New York Times, Oprah and many others. Learn more about his film work here.
Tyler has served for four years as a Court Appointed Special Advocate For Children (CASA) volunteer for abused and neglected children in Colorado’s 9th judicial district. He lives in Carbondale, Colorado with his wife and two children. In his free time, Tyler enjoys climbing, mindfulness and outdoor adventures with his family.
